Collection: The Goodside Project
The Goodside Project was founded in SA under the concept that "We cannot change the past but we sure can help change the future".
Having seen the destruction plastic was causing the waterways overseas, their journey began when then started working with recycled plastics and developed their first ever pair of recycled plastic thongs. Slow fashion at its finest that is comfortable to wear, reduces existing waste and can be upcycled in to a new pair at end of life.
They then introduced a towel collection made with recycled polyester that is sand resistant, odour free, absorbs 7 times their weight in water and dry much quicker that a cotton towel. It became incredibly popular with athletes, travelers and beach enthusiasts.
However, these products took the Goodside on a huge learning curve... Microplastics.
They learnt that our washing machines capture thousands of tiny microplastics that simply get washed in to our waterways and decided that just wasn't ok.
So, they developed the Good Catch, a microplastic catcher that attaches to your washing mashing and stops up to 90% of all microplastics.
They also released a book on the journey of a sea turtle discovering the dangers of ocean plastics which takes kids on an educational journey with brilliant imagery as well as Indigenous translations to learn the native language.
See their products for ways to easily reduce plastics in your home and lands.
