Unlike regular cork, this product has been made with high quality, smooth and waterproof cork straight from Barreiro, Portugal. 

Cork is 100% natural, biodegradable, recyclable and renewable. To obtain cork, no trees need to be cut down, the bark is simply stripped once the tree reaches full maturity. This doesn't hurt the tree and in fact assist cork trees to absorb up to 3-5 times more CO2, a greenhouse has that causes climate change, than an unstripped tree.
