Solas Candles

Solas Candles, a small South Australian husband and wife team, began in 2016 from Nostalgic memories of Shane's Irish home land.

Solas, meaning light in Gaelic, is inspired by Natasha and Shane's visit to the ancient Passage Tomb in Newgrange, a mystical experience in the Boyne Valley, County Meath, Ireland. Built around 3200BC, it predates Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Surrounded by 97 large stones with Stone Age Carvings, the most striking of which is at it's entrance and was the inspiration for their Solas Candles logo. 

The Celtic range of Candles bring Shane's nostalgic memories of home to life while the Black Label pays homage to the Industrial area where Natasha Grew up. The Rustic Collection reflects their combined love for this amazing country and all of its wonders. 

However, somewhat more unique is their playful Bar Room Candles. A collection which began as "a candle for blokes" and has turned out to be a huge success, bringing fun and connections to your own childhood memories, favourite alcoholic beverages, sweets, footy teams.. carefully curated to form a scent as close to the real thing as possible, in a recycled can!
